DC Police Search for Suspect Who Shouted Anti-Gay Slur, Punched Man

D.C. police are searching for a suspect who shouted an anti-gay slur at two men before punching one of them on Sunday evening.

The men were on the 1300 block of 14th Street NW near Thomas Circle when the suspect started shouting at them and approached them in a threatening manner, according to a police report.

When one of them got out his phone to call 911, the suspect punched him in the face, police said.

Surveillance video shows the suspect chasing the men down a sidewalk.
