A Montgomery County councilmember is proposing that child care centers be placed in every new school in the county.
Councilmember Hans Riemer believes his plan could help residents save money.
According to a state report, the average cost of childcare for two children is $25,234 a year - more than $2,000 a month.
Riemer says out of 28 school renovations and expansion projects, child care centers are only planned in two schools.
He says he was inspired by his two young sons.
Riemer is asking residents to share their thoughts on his plan by taking an online survey.
