Air Force Sergeant Arrested in Internet Sex Sting

An airman tried to meet up with an underage girl for a "sexual encounter," according to police in northern Virginia.

The suspect is U.S. Air Force SMSgt. Arthur Leon Henderson, whose online activities in his Springfield, Va., home landed him in jail on Tuesday.

An undercover detective who posed as a 14-year-old girl online had an instant message exchange with Henderson, according to authorities. They said Henderson agreed to meet up for sex at an undisclosed location in Manassas.

Of course, it was a team of Manassas Police officers waiting to meet the airman, not a teenage girl. They took Henderson into custody, along with the help of Air Force Special Agents.

Henderson is charged with attempted indecent liberties with a minor. He's being held at the Prince William County Detention Center on a $5,000 bond, pending an April 29 court date.
