21-Year-Old Shot to Death in SE D.C.; Juvenile Wounded

A 21-year-old man shot in southeast D.C. Monday afternoon later died at a hospital, police said.

Police heard gunshots from the Sixth District and found Qur’an Vines and a boy younger than 18 years old both wounded at the 5100 block of Southern Avenue SE.

D.C. paramedics rushed both victims to a local hospital, where Vines was later pronounced dead. The juvenile is currently in stable condition.

The Metropolitan Police Department rewards up to $25,000 to anyone who provides information that leads to the culprit’s arrest and conviction for any homicide committed in Washington, D.C.
