    Suspects Susan Elizabeth Finzel, 26, and William Alan Gates, 19, were arrested Dec. 28.

    A 17-year-old girl was stabbed and attacked with a bat last week in Manassas, Virginia, police said.

    The victim told police she and an acquaintance were in a fight with 26-year-old Susan Elizabeth Finzel and 19-year-old William Alan Gates about 6:20 p.m. Dec. 27 in the area of Stagestone Way and Alder Lane, Prince William County Police said.

    Gates hit her multiple times with a baseball bat, and Finzel stabbed her twice with a knife to the upper body, the victim told police. 

    When they separated, the victim went to a hospital where police were called. The victim's acquaintance was not injured. 

    Both suspects were arrested Dec. 28. Finzel of Manassas is charged with malicious wounding, and Gates of Gainesville is charged with assault and battery.
