A 13-year-old girl was transported to Shock Trauma after she was struck by a 14-passenger van in Howard County Tuesday.
According to Howard County Police Department offiials, the girl was struck by a La Petite Academy van at the intersection of Vollmerhausen Road and Castleford Drive just after 3 p.m.
The girl was listed in critical condition as of Tuesday evening at the Johns Hopkins Children's Center..
There were five children between the ages of 6 and 8 aboard the van at the time of the accident. No one aboard the van was injured.
