One person was killed and another was wounded in a shooting that happened in broad daylight Wednesday at a Prince George's County apartment complex.
The victims were shot about noon in the 8200 block of Martin Luther King Jr. Avenue in Glenarden, Maryland.
Nelson Standifer, 27, of Upper Marlboro died on scene at the apartment complex.
The other victim ran across the street to a nearby 7-Eleven to ask for help. Workers there called 911.
He was taken to a hospital in critical condition.
Police are looking for the shooter or shooters.
The shooting was the first homicide in Glenarden this year.

"We don't have a lot of violent crime, but any crime like this kind of negates all of the stuff you've done in the past," Glenarden Police Chief Philip O'Donnell said.
O'Donnell was working down the street in the municipal building.
"Actually, to tell you the truth, I heard the gunshots in my office," he said.
Police do receive some calls for service at the apartment complex, the chief said, but nothing like this shooting.
Police used a metal detector to search for shell casings and a K-9 to search for the gun.
