    Victims in Fatal Crash Weren't Wearing Seat Belts

    For the second time this year in Prince George's County, the victims of a deadly car crash were not wearing seat belts. Prince George's County Bureau Chief Tracee Wilkins reports police want this tragedy to be a warning to everyone who gets in a car. (Published Monday, Feb. 11, 2019)

    Three people were killed and one person was seriously injured on a Seat Pleasant, Maryland, road when a car overturned.

    Prince George's County police say a car traveling along Martin Luther King Jr. Highway near Glen Willow Drive veered off the road about 3:55 a.m. Sunday. The car struck an embankment and flipped over.

    First responders took one person to the hospital with serious injuries. The other three occupants of the car died, including 23-year-old Grecia Sanchez Cruz, who had three children, and 25-year-old Brenda Merlot, who had one child. An unidentified man also died.

    None of the victims was wearing a seat belt.
