Break out the pink! The Newsbabes Bash for Breast Cancer is coming up on June 19 at the newly reopened Howard Theatre (620 T St. NW).
The evening features cocktails, hors d'oeuvres and a pink dessert bar by Georgetown Cupcake, Dolci Gelati and Sweet Signatures, and music comes from DJ Flounder.
Some of the hosts might look familiar: NBC4's own Angie Goff, Eun Yang and Doreen Gentzler. Our newsmen in pink -- Doug Kammerer, Dan Hellie and Luke Russert -- will make special appearances. NBC's Andrea Mitchell, a breast cancer survivor herself, is the featured speaker this year.
Tickets are available online at $75 for general admission and $50 for breast cancer survivors. And 100 percent of proceeds will benefit the GW Mammovan, which provides free screenings in local communities.
