A bridge inspection team was called to a Beltway overpass in Forestville, Maryland, early Tuesday morning after a dump truck hit the structure.
The dump truck crashed into the underside of an overpass along Suitland Parkway at about 3:30 a.m. It's not clear what caused the crash, but a bridge inspection team was called to the scene to make sure the overpass, which is part of the Beltway, was not compromised.
The inbound lanes of Suitland Parkway were closed for several hours, but they have since reopened.
