Jeremy Hazell scored 23 points to lead Seton Hall past Virginia Tech 77-73 in the third-place game of the Puerto Rico Tip Off on Sunday night.
Seton Hall (4-1) shot 56.5 percent in the second half (13 of 23) to overcome a six-point deficit at halftime.
The Pirates were 13-for-34 in the first half, before getting a combined 24 points from Hazell and Paul Gause in the second half.
Hazell scored 14 points in the second half, including 7 of 9 free throws, while Gause scored 10 of his total 14 points.
Robert Mitchell chipped in 15 points and eight rebounds for Seton Hall.
The Hokies (3-2) were led by Malcolm Delaney, who scored 25 points, and A.D. Vassallo with 22. Jeff Allen added 17 points and 17 rebounds for Virginia Tech.
