Britney Spears is heading out on the road and her stage show in support of chart-topping album “Circus” will mirror the year of troubles the singer recently overcame.
“The first act sees the miserable star run away to join the circus,” a tour source told Britain’s The Sun newspaper. “This mirrors her slide into unhinged behavior.”

Spears reportedly turned her well-documented troubles into art for the tour, which kicks off March 3 in New Orleans.
“Her disturbing antics while suffering her meltdown are the focus of the second act, which takes place in the circus,” the source told the mag. “Brit is seen having fun in this crazy world and falling in love with a circus freak.”

The final act of the elaborate trek will “focus on Britney’s salvation,” the source told the paper. “She manages to [pull] herself away from the clutches of the circus to be reunited with her friends and family.”
And in typical Britney tour fashion, her stage clothing will be dramatic as well.
According to gossip blog Hollyscoop, Britney is in talks to wear outfits designed by Phillipe and David Blond. The New York based designers have previously glammed-up stage shows for Rihanna, who they adorned in leather and metallics, and Katy Perry, who wore a number of their over-the-top dresses.

They also designed a silver, star corset dress, which Spears wore in promo shots for her album, “Circus.”
“They have already submitted sketches,” Mauricio Padiha, who represents the designers told the Web site. “They may even be making her a Swarovski crystal mask to match one of the corsets for the tour.”
