Raid Your Closet for National Swap Day

Are you good with sharing? Do you play well with others? Well, hot damn! The new location of Nana (3068 Mt. Pleasant St. N.W.) will host a clothing exchange on National Swap Day, Saturday, Jan. 22, when you can meet you people and make off with their apparel.

Haul your in-good-condition castoffs to Mount Pleasant from 11 a.m. to noon. Women's clothing, shoes, handbags and accessories are welcome.

Your stuff will be sorted and set up in their Pop-Up Swap store. Go do something on your own darn time from noon to 1 p.m., and then return from 1 to 3 p.m. for the actual swap. Everything left over at the end will be donated to Goodwill of Greater Washington. Tickets are $10; you can order online here.

The event's hosted by local vintage-wear blog QuarterLife, which advises, "Save your budget, save the environment, save your dignity. We can't do it all at once, but it's the little things." Little things... like accessories?
