Virtual Bike Lane Could Improve Safety

With all the daily traffic in the District, bicycle safety is a big concern.

Many of the city's streets do not have bike lanes, a lane that establishes a defined boundary for drivers to stay clear of cyclists. The main reason because bike lanes can cost up to $50,000 per mile to construct.

One way to increase bicycle safety is a new concept laser gadget that projects a virtual line, providing the driver with a familiar boundary to avoid.
