Boy George is facing jail time after a jury ruled today that the singer got too rough with a male escort when he handcuffed the 29-year-old to the bed during a nude photo shoot in his East London flat in April last year, the Times Online UK reported.
The singer, whose real name is George O'Dowd, was convicted of false imprisonment after Norwegian Audun Carlsen said he was restrained with cuffs by the musician and beaten with a metal chain while O'Dowd tampered with his computer.
O'Dowd admitted to handcuffing Carlsen while he fiddling with the computer because he believed the escort had stolen photos of him but the musician denied assaulting the escort.
The pop legend told cops that he didn't assault the escort in any way and explained away Carlsen's bruises by saying that he bruised easily because he has AIDS.
Carlsen's attorneys suggested that O'Dowd became enraged because Carlsen refused to have sex with him during their first meeting.
The pair met on the Gaydar social networking website and their first meeting went well until the singer suspected Carlsen had hacked into his computer.
