Police in Woodbridge, Va. arrested a man suspected in a string of recent home burglaries. Thanks to the quick arrest, one woman will be able to pass down a family heirloom that had been stolen.
23-year-old Adrian Dionte Taylor is charged with 18 break-ins in the Woodbridge area since the middle of November. Investigatiors say they caught Taylor selling stolen items. Police say they found coins, cash and jewelry in Taylor's hotel room.
The break in the case came as welcome news to one Woodbridge woman. She came home a week before Christmas to find her home broken into, and her late mother's 66-year-old wedding rings missing.
Police sent her pictures of the stolen items they recovered, and the woman recognized her missing keepsakes immediately.
"I saw my mom's rings. That's when I started screaming over the phone, I think I must have pierced an eardrum. I was ecstatic, I got my mom back."
News 4 hid the woman's identity at her request.
