Drive-By DC Shooting Leads to Crash

D.C. police search for a gunman who shot a driver and caused a subsequent crash

A drive-by shooting resulted in a three-car collision in the District on Wednesday.

A man was driving in a black Chevrolet sedan at the intersection of North Capitol Street and Michigan Avenue at about noon when another vehicle pulled up and the driver motioned for the man to roll down his window, police said.

The man did not, police said. That's when the driver of the second vehicle pulled out a gun, shot at the Chevy and sped off.

The man in the Chevy then crashed into two other nearby vehicles.

Police have not identified a motive or suspect.

The incident remains under investigation.
