WASHINGTON — Werth’s gonna Werth, especially in a moment of triumph.
Jayson Werth was pretty happy after delivering the game-winning hit in the Nationals’ 5-4, 12-inning win over the Cubs on Wednesday night, and evidently the game went long enough that his internal filter went home for the night.
It was an epic back-and-forth game, so after the walkoff hit, Werth was fired up. When asked about his feelings by sideline reporter Dan Kolko, he didn’t stick to the clichés about battling and taking ‘em one at a time and giving 110 percent. Those who need warnings about adult language should consider themselves warned:
