Montgomery Co. Janitor Accused of Sexually Assaulting 6-year-old

WASHINGTON — Police arrested a Montgomery County school’s janitor accused of sexually as assaulting a 6-year-old student last month.

Ronald Greene, 54, was charged Tuesday with one count of second-degree sexual offense after police say he sexually assaulted a girl at Gaithersburg Elementary School.

The 6-year-old victim told detectives Greene sexually assaulted her while he was cleaning the girls’ bathroom on a school day in November, said Sgt. Rebecca Innocenti of the Montgomery County Police Department.

Police haven’t received any reports of additional victims, but ask anyone with information about the case or other possible victims to call police at 240-773-5400.

“It’s always possible there are additional victims, that’s why we urge anyone who believes maybe their child has been a victim to please come forward,” Innocenti said.

Greene has been on paid administrative leave since the investigation began in late November.
