WASHINGTON — A man was shot behind the movie theater at St. Charles Towne Center in Waldorf, Maryland, Wednesday night.
Police responded to a call for a shooting in the parking lot behind the theater around 8 p.m. in the 11000 block of Mall Circle Drive.
A Charles County Sheriff’s spokesperson says the victim was with friends when he walked away from the group. He had a conversation with another person — who pulled out a gun and shot him.
The victim is in critical condition.
A suspect is now in custody. Police say the shooting does not appear to be related to activity inside the movie theater.
