(NEW YORK) — The Clinton campaign is flexing its muscles on the airwaves.
Starting today, the presumptive Democratic nominee will being running three general election television ads in eight states across the country: Colorado, Florida, Iowa, Nevada, New Hampshire, North Carolina, Ohio and Virginia.
The ads are part of a massive, eight-figure — meaning at least $10 million — six-week television buy, according to a campaign official.
Included in the three new spots that will begin airing today, is the campaign’s recently-released “Who We Are” ad, which uses video of Donald Trump mocking a disabled reporter to frame the election as “a choice about who we are as a nation.”
The campaign will also air two autobiographical-style ads, neither of which mention the presumptive Republican nominee.
Both ads –- a minute-long spot titled, “Always” and a 30-second spot titled, “Quiet Moments” -– uses old footage of Clinton from throughout her career to highlight her work as an advocate for children and universal health care.
The Clinton campaign’s decision to launch these ads — just over one week after clinching the Democratic nomination — is, more than anything, a sign of strength and organization on their part.
It also stands in sharp contrast to Trump, who has yet to run any general election ads.
