Fire Officials Identify Man Killed in Blaze at Pasadena Home

PASADENA, Md. (AP) — Anne Arundel County officials are identifying a 92-year-old man killed in a Pasadena house fire earlier this month.

Officials identified the man Tuesday in a statement as Guy Ringler. They say a second person found in the home March 10 remains hospitalized.

Officials say firefighters found one man in the kitchen and he was taken to a hospital in critical condition with life-threatening injuries. As firefighters extinguished the fire in the living room, officials say they found Ringler, who was pronounced dead on the scene.

Officials say investigators determined that the fire was accidental and was probably started by smoking materials. Officials say there were no working smoke alarms in the house. Damage is estimated at $80,000.
