A varied crowd hangs out in the exposed brick and dark wood interior of the Front Page, but the Thursday drink specials make braving the meat market vibe less formidable.
On busy nights, it may be hard to avoid the college-aged frat boy types cruising, and couples grinding against each other or making out. While music may be hit or miss, the dance floor is usually filled with young people grooving regardless.
The responsibility of having a good time relies on those who enter and their posse, but the friendly staff helps. They usually can manage to greet patrons, if not serve them, when they step up to order, and are fairly adept at working the crowds.
The drink specials don't hurt either. In addition to their week day happy hour specials (from 4 - 7 p.m.), they host a Thursday happy hour that has become well known in the Dupont Circle crowd. Those looking to save a few bucks can drink for cheap with $2 Corona, Corona Light, Miller Lite from 5 p.m. - close.
