It's nowhere near spring, but that doesn't mean it's too early to start thinking about the National Cherry Blossom Festival. Fest organizers are already seeking vocal artists for the parade -- if you're interested, get ready to make a YouTube video.
For the second year in a row, the parade will feature D.C.-area vocal artists and groups discovered through the Sing into Spring Vocal Competition.
Want to enter? Upload your video (no more than 30 seconds long) to YouTube and then enter online here. The deadline is Nov. 14. To enter, you must be a legal resident of D.C., Maryland or Virginia. (See more rules here.)
Organizers will then choose up to 20 finalists to perform live before a panel of judges in January. Up to four soloists or groups will be chosen to perform at the parade April 11, 2015.
The National Cherry Blossom Festival is scheduled from March 20 to April 12; check out all the key events here.
