Candlelight Tours and Chocolate Galore in Old Town Alexandria

If the weather suits it, try a candlelight tour of historic Alexandria, along with a much-needed chocolate fix.

On Saturday, Dec. 14 and Sunday, Dec. 15, make your way to the Gadsby's Tavern Museum (138 N. Royal St., Alexandria, Va.) for a twilight tour of this old city while you learn thing or two about the history of chocolate.

You'll hear about (and taste) how chocolate found its way into the recipes of today and see a selection of authentic products from the days of our ancestors, complete with demos by the History Division of Mars

The candlelight tour will take you to the Carlyle House, Gadsby's Tavern Museum, historic Bank of Alexandria and the Lee-Fendall House, with live musical performances at each location.
