Marshmello, Zara Larsson to Headline Capital Pride Concert

Electronic music producer Marshmello and pop singer Zara Larsson are set to headline the 2019 Capital Pride Concert, the Capital Pride Alliance announced on Thursday.

The event, presented by Hot 99.5 and PRIDE Radio, will be on Sunday, June 9 on Pennsylvania Avenue at 3rd Street by the National Mall. It's free to the public, with paid tickets available for special access to the Concert Pit and VIP Concert Experience.

The show starts at 1 p.m. and coincides with the Capital Pride Festival, which begins at noon. About 350,000 people are expected to attend and there will be three stages, hundreds of exhibitors, a beverage garden, a family zone and food vendors.

“The Capital Pride Alliance is thrilled to announce such a diverse slate of performers for the 2019 Pride Concert," Capital Pride Alliance Executive Director Ryan Bos said in a news release. "The wide range of talent, experience and contributions of these artists speaks to our theme of shhhOUT: Past, Present & Proud."

Capital Pride says headliner Marshmello has more than 2 billion streams on Spotify due to hits like "Happier" with Bastille and "Wolves" with Selena Gomez.

Zara Larsson, a Swedish pop singer, is known for her songs "Ain't My Fault" and "Lush Life." Her album “So Good" is the second most-streamed debut on Spotify by a female artist ever, a news release said.

Other artists joining the stage include Todrick Hall, a singer, choreographer and YouTube personality. Singers Shea Diamond and Calum Scott, along with drag queen Nina West, will hit the stage too. See the full lineup here
