Apparently, Washington Wizards coach Randy Wittman made his players a promise that if they defeated the Chicago Bulls in the opening round of the NBA playoffs, he would throw down a dunk for their amusement.
Well, the Wizards disposed of the Bulls in five games. Wittman, however, has yet to pay up.
"Witt got to be a man of his word," guard Bradley Beal told reporters. "He was supposed to do it last round. He had up until the first game [of the team's second-round series against the Indiana Pacers] to dunk.
"You know Witt. He needs a couple days to get stretched out. Hopefully he'll do it. I think he can do it. Maybe."
Wittman, 54, played 10 seasons in the NBA and has the sheer stature to dunk at 6'6".
"Now he's trying to get out of that. He says he's going to touch the rim," center Marcin Gortat told CSN. "That's what he said, which is kind of weird because we said dunk."
Wittman is one of three coaches all-time to win their first four road playoff games, joining Pat Riley and Mike Dunleavy, who both accomplished that feat with the Los Angeles Lakers.

If the Wizards defeat the Indiana Pacers to take a 2-0 lead in their series Wednesday, they would be the first team seeded fifth or lower to take such a lead in back-to-back series in a single season since the 1995 NBA champion Houston Rockets.
