Manic Mondays can be a little stressful -- hence the name. Relax with some not-so-manic meditation at the Polo India Club Restaurant (1736 Connecticut Ave. N.W.), which hosts Simply Silence Meditation on the top-floor meeting room at 7 p.m. The meditation will include a quick introduction followed by a silent meditation for 25 to 30 minutes. A brief reading will follow the meditation, discussing different aspects of meditation. Free admission.

Afterward, head downstairs and enjoy a drink, appetizer or entrée from the restaurant's authentic Indian menu. Polo India dishes up provides vegetarian, chicken, lamb, seafood and an array of tandoori breads. And it's affordable -- the most expensive thing on the menu is $18. We suggest you plan ahead: Visit the Web site before you go, and print out a coupon to buy one entrée and get the other half price.
