Tender 16-hour smoked brisket, Spanish chorizo topped with a saffron rouille and cabrales cheese, pulled pork sandwiches and house-made BLTs. These are just a few of the options off of the environmentally friendly (and affordable) menu from the Purveyors of Rolling Cuisine, or PORC.

Started by college buddies Trent Allen and Josh Saltzman, PORC is a biodiesel-powered mobile kitchen whose aim is to "reinvent and elevate the street eatery by providing tasty, affordable and eco-friendly meals on the go, day and night."

Allen and Saltzman graduated college without a clear idea of what they wanted to do, but both of them knew they loved food. Without the means to start a restaurant, they created a menu and went around Ann Arbor, Mich., in their mobile kitchen until the city council banned their business. After much searching, they are ready to open up the Purveyors of Rolling Cuisine in the L'Enfant Plaza area this upcoming fall.

PORC doesn’t just have an environmentally friendly food truck; their food is all sustainable and local, coming from Medina Farms in Chesapeake Bay, Va., and Angelic Beef in Fauquier County.

And they are serious about keeping their prices low. Their menu currently has the option of getting a "big ol' pulled pork sandwich," coleslaw, homemade chips, and a coke, for just $7.

You can also check out their website where you can see their menu and have a chance to donate to their business and reap rewards. While the perfect mix of taste, affordability and convenience might still be missing from your workplace lunch options, PORC is what they can to change that.
