Pro Skydiver Opens Art Show

Pro Skydiver Also an Artist

During his time away from paints and canvas, Jason Wright just so happens to be a professional skydiver. Oh, and he's been training Navy SEALs to jump out of airplanes.

Seriously.

And his double life -- one day, skydiver; artist the next -- is the inspiration for his new art show. Through Aug. 29, you can check out Wright's new oil collection, "Take You Home," at Gallery Plan B (1530 14th St. N.W.).

This is far from the first time Wright has mixed professional extreme sports and art. Turns out, pro-sports have been a longtime influence on his traditional and mixed media artwork.

Before his skydiving days, Wright was a professional surfer, holding a job at Quicksilver in Hawaii and as a professional snowboarder, all the while designing boards. Artist, skydiver, surfer and snowboarder –

That's some quadruple threat. You can go see for yourself at Gallery Plan B.
