A license plate combining vanity and a Virginia Department of Motor Vehicles theme to become a viral sensation online has been revoked, WTOP reported.

The DMV asked a man to return his "EATTHE" vanity plates. The words appeared above "KIDS FIRST" -- a commonwealth theme -- to complete the phrase, "Eat the kids first."

It wasn't just the cannibalism that derailed the joke. A DMV hearing determined that the phrase could also refer to performing oral sex on a child.

In a Reddit post, the owner of the plates expressed shock at the latter interpretation.
