Redskins, Uber Partner Up for Fan Convenience

Getting to and from a Washington Redskins game at FedEx Field could get a bit easier after a partnership with the team and a ride-sharing service.

The Redskins announced a partnership with Uber. The service will become the team’s official ride-sharing partner, and beginning on Sept. 18, will host a designated Uber Pick-Up Drop-Off Zone for all home games.

The service is aimed at getting fans in and out of games, alleviate traffic and promote alternative transportation options.

“Under this formal partnership, Uber is excited to become a part of the great Washington football tradition,” said Tom Hayes, general manager of Uber D.C. "Leveraging the convenience and reliability of Uber’s technology, we’ll be giving fans easily accessible transportation options before and after every game."

The designated Uber Pick-Up & Drop-Off Zone is a ride-share lot located at the Prince George's County Sports Complex, adjacent to the stadium’s parking lots. It will be open for drop-offs four hours prior to kickoff.

When requesting a ride to the stadium, fans should enter the following address as their destination: Prince George’s County Sports & Learning Complex; 8001 Sheriff Rd.; Hyattsville Md. 20785.

Following games, fans can enter the Uber Pick-Up & Drop-Off Zone, order an Uber and meet their driver in a specified colored zone for better access and convenience. Fans will only be able to request a pickup at the Uber Pick-Up & Drop-Off Zone.

Uber’s ride-sharing functionality will be integrated into the official mobile app of the Redskins.
