Virginia Congressman Gerry Connolly was released from the hospital Monday.
He spent the weekend at the Virginia Hospital Center in Arlington, Va., after experiencing some discomfort during a routine physical last week, according to his chief of staff. The Democrat, who was re-elected last week, decided to check into the hospital for some tests.
Connolly was treated for a blood clot in an artery, his chief of staff said.
Connolly is resting comfortably at home and will report back to work Tuesday.
