A woman who was driving on a learner's permit has been found guilty of negligent manslaughter in a crash in Crofton, Md.

Elizabeth Ramirez, 22, of Millersville was found guilty on Friday.

The Capital of Annapolis reports

she will be sentenced on Nov. 19.

Prosecutors say Ramirez gave three friends a ride on July 30 and was on Davidsonville Road waiting for a red left turn arrow to turn green. Authorities say Ramirez thought the light had turned green and turned into the path of a taxi driven by 63-year-old Javaid Firdaus of Glen Burnie.
