A 91-year-old woman died in a fire in Anne Arundel County, Md., Wednesday evening.

The homeowners’ teenage son jumped from a second-floor window of the house in the 1300 block of Tenbrook Road in Odenton to escape the fire, but the woman, who was not related but who the homeowners were taking care of, was found dead inside after firefighters performed a rapid attack and interior search, News4’s Shomari Stone reported.

Firefighters controlled the fire in about 45 minutes.

The cause is under investigation.
