A woman was found dead in her Glen Burnie home Monday night after her husband was pulled over for driving while intoxicated, authorities say.

An Anne Arundel County police officer pulled over him around 11 p.m. Monday, at W. Ordnance Road and Roberts Court in Glen Burnie.

The man told the officer that his wife was dead inside their home in the 6600 block of Roberts Court.

Officers went to the home and found an unresponsive 50-year-old woman. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

The woman's husband was transported to Harbor Hospital due to his intoxication, authorities said. He will be formally charged for various traffic violations upon his release from the hospital.

The dead woman's name is being withheld until her family is notified. Her cause of death will be determined by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.
