A woman fell and died Friday morning in northwest Washington, according to D.C. Fire and EMS. The fire department originally said the person who died was a window washer.
Fire officials now say the woman died after falling from a ninth-floor window.
The incident happened at about 8 a.m. in the 1200 block of M Street NW. The fire department originally called it an industrial accident. Officials are trying to determine if the person jumped.
There was no immediate word on the victim’s name or age.
