Virginia's first lady is taking to the sky to support military families.

First lady Maureen McDonnell and her daughter, Cailin, will skydive along with the U.S. Army's Golden Knights Parachute Team on Friday as part of her ongoing work to raise awareness for military families.

The jump will take place at the Dinwiddie Airport.  The Golden Knights are in town for Saturday's NASCAR Spring Cup Series Race at Richmond International Raceway.

Maureen McDonnell's daughter was in the military, along with her husband, Gov. Bob McDonnell, and her father.
