A Northern Virginia gymnastics coach is accused of sexually assaulting a young girl more than 25 years ago.

Police say a woman told police her gymnastics coach while she was growing up sexually assaulted her on multiple occassions between 1987 and 1988 when she was between 6 and 8 years old.

Parviz Youseffi, now 51, was arrested Monday on aggravated sexual battery charges. The woman says the abuse occurred while Parviz was her coach at GMS Institute Gymnastics on New Market Court in Manassas.

Youseffi is being held behind bars without bond.

His daughter, who manages a preschool located next to the gymnastics center, was charged in March for physically assaulting two children.
