"Neither snow nor rain nor heat nor gloom of night stays these couriers from the swift completion of their appointed rounds."

But a blizzard is a different story.

The U.S. Postal Service has closed Saturday throughout the D.C. region due to the snowstorm.

That means there will be no deliveries. No retail stores will be open, and mail will not be picked up.

So if you thought your next shipment of Netflix movies would arrive today to help ease the boredom of being stuck inside during the storm, you're out of luck.

So crack open the box in the closet that contains your treasured collection of ALF VHS tapes and hide the cats.
