Two Families Displaced in House Fire

An intense early morning fire has left two families without a home.

Two families are without a home this morning after an intense fire tore through their house in Prince George’s County early Saturday morning.

Firefighters say the blaze was sparked sometime around 1:00 a.m. in a house on the 7600 block of Normandy Road in Hyattsville.

Two families were living in the home at the time, and investigators say that everyone was able to get out of the house. No injuries have been reported, however, the house is a total loss.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
