U.S. Park Police pursued a vehicle into northwest Washington and arrested two men who tried to flee from a car running on rims.

Police said the chase started Arlington, Virginia, and entered Washington along Rock Creek Park, Northwest, on Tuesday afternoon. At some point, the tires were flattened, and the vehicle was running on its rims when it stopped on Connecticut Avenue, Northwest, and Upton Street, Northwest.

Officers said two men inside the vehicle fled after it stopped. One man was caught nearby, and the other man was captured in an alley.

Arlington County police said the incident began after a traffic stop. They notified U.S. Park Police, who began the chase. One of the men was taken away in an ambulance with an apparent neck injury.
