Takoma Park police in Maryland are asking for the public’s help in finding a missing 13-year-old girl who disappeared last week.

Yvette Funmilayo Animashaun was last seen in the 7600 block of Maple Avenue on July 22. Police believe she may have run away from home. They said she has run away from home several times before.

Animashaun is described as a black female, 5-foot-7-inches tall, who weighs about 120 pounds. She has black hair, brown eyes and a fair complexion. She also has “7600” tattooed on her chest. Police said was wearing a black head scarf, black shirt and shorts when she vanished.

She's considered a critical missing person because of her age.

Anyone with information is asked to call police at 301-270-1100.
