Suspect Held With No Bond in Germantown Target Store Homicide

The suspect in the fatal shooting outside a Germantown Target store is being held without bond after he was released from the hospital Thursday, according to Montgomery County Police.

Donald Wayne Bicker, Jr. is currently being charged with first-degree murder after allegedly shooting his ex-girlfriend, Marie Shade Adebayo, outside the store in the Milestone Center, at 20908 N. Frederick Road, police said.

At about 7:30 p.m. Monday, Bicker and Adebayo were observed getting into an altercation inside a car by witnesses. Adebayo got out of the car to get away from Bicker, but then the suspect followed her and fired a shot in her direction, according to police. She fell to the ground, and Bicker was seen walking up to her and shooting her again by witnesses.

Bicker fled from the scene and was soon followed by police after refusing to stop, police said. He then crashed his truck on Darnestown Road at 8:12 p.m., nearly 10 miles away from the Target store, police said.

After he was arrested, Bicker was escorted to the hospital for non-life-threatening injuries, police said.

Interviews with Adebayo’s family revealed that Adebayo had been dating Bicker for six months, and recently ended the relationship.

Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to call police at 301-279-8000. Callers may remain anonymous.

Bicker will have a bond review Friday in Rockville.
