Road Projects to Slow Sunday Traffic

Travel through Montgomery and Prince George’s counties could be a little slow on Sunday.

In Montgomery County, crews are reconfiguring the lanes at the intersection of Georgia Avenue and Randolph Road in Wheaton. Traffic will be down to one lane in each direction on both roads during the construction.

Crews should finish by the Monday morning rush.

In Prince George's County, a major road project on the D.C. Beltway near Ritchie Marlboro Road could cause big delays. Up to three lanes on the inner and outer loop can be closed at any time until 5 a.m. tomorrow morning.

Crews repairing the road surface could stop traffic for up to 15 minutes at a time.
