Metro Transit Police said a woman was carjacked as she was walking to her vehicle at the Vienna Metrorail Station in Fairfax County early Thursday morning.
Police said a suspect approached the woman displaying a handgun. The victim said she was forced to drive to several ATMs to withdraw cash.
The woman was released at the New Carrollton Metrorail Station and the suspect left the scene.
Metro Transit Police released a picture of a man who they have identified as a person of interest in the case. Anyone with information should call 202-962-2121 to notify authorities.
