Howard County Police are investigating two separate shootings that happened just miles and minutes apart Wednesday in Laurel.

Police responded to shots fired at about 1 a.m. on Hitching Post Lane. When they arrived there were two juveniles found shot along a walkway in a townhome community. Both are expected to be OK.

Then minutes later, just a few miles away on Alma Avenue, there was a second shooting involving two more victims.

Police said the two scene are not connected.

In all, three victims were taken to a nearby hospital and the fourth victim was taken to shock trauma.

A police spokesman said they have no suspect information in either case.
