Man Seriously Injured in D.C. Hit and Run

A man suffered life-threatening injuries when he was struck while crossing the street in Southeast D.C. Monday.

Crews responded to the intersection of Stanton Road and Suitland Parkway around 6 p.m. Police say a car, possibly a gold Nissan, struck a pedestrian then fled from the scene.

The victim has been airlifted to a local hospital.
