Police: Domestic Dispute Leaves 3 Dead in D.C.

WASHINGTON (AP) -- D.C. police are investigating a triple homicide in northeast D.C.

A woman and two children were stabbed to death Saturday in a possible domestic dispute, said sources.

Police forced their way into an apartment on the 2000 block of Maryland Avenue northeast. They found a gruesome crime scene and discovered the bodies, said authorities.

A woman and her two sons, ages eight to 10, were found stabbed to death. An unharmed 2-year-old girl was removed from the apartment, said sources.

An adult man taken to a hospital with unspecified injuries is a suspect, said cops. He is believed to be the boyfriend of the woman.

City officials are trying to find out whether social services had previously visited the apartment, said Police Chief Cathy Lanier.
