Starting Monday, Prince William County police will be patrolling the lot to crack down on illegal parking. They’re looking out for cars that are double parked, as well as cars in “No Parking” areas.

For the next two weeks, police will only give warnings to cars parked illegally. After that, they’ll begin issuing tickets. However, police will immediately begin towing cars that are parked in travel lanes and obstructing traffic.

The crackdown is to keep drivers and pedestrians safe, as well as keeping lanes open for emergency vehicles. See a list of nearby commuter lots in Northern Virginia here.
